Performance of Australia in the recent England test series was not a big surprise for me. England for the last couple of years have done well in cricket. Ponting was infact was asked if he
would be first captain to loose the ashes after a long time. Top order not doing well, Inconsistent performance of Lee, Very poor performance of Gillespie besides poor fielding have remained big problems for Australia. That said Australia defeated England in the first test and gave England a run for their money in the second.
With doubts raised over the dismissal of Kasprowiz(Replays showed that Kasprowiz was not out indeed),England got the decision in their favour. Weather that luck would stay with them till the end of the series remains to be seen.
Because , Australians still have the talent to come back. But the recent reports that there are conflicts with in the team is doing no good for them either. Immediate denials have from Mcgrath, Gilgrist while Ponting and Warne are yet to respond, Clearly indicating that there were bitter incidents if not major disputes.
